He made his breakthrough starring in a number of acclaimed British films, including Zulu (1964), The Ipcress File (1965), Alfie (1966), for which he was nominated for an Academy Award, and The Italian Job (1969). His most notable roles in the 1970s included Get Carter (1971), Sleuth (1972), for which he earned his second Academy Award nomination, The Man Who Would Be King (1975), and A Bridge Too Far (1978). In the 1980s, Educating Rita (1983) earned him the BAFTA and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and in 1986 he won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Woody Allen's Hannah and Her Sisters.

  1. As you know I am a huge Caine fan...so I viewed your page and saw posters that I have never seen before. I like the Alfie ones you posted. He actually has two more movies with posters already....Interstellar and Morgan's Last Love. Thanks for giving Sir Caine his very own page on your site.

  2. I know you're a big fan and I'm glad I didn't leave out any of your favourites. Caine has appeared in over 100 films and I left out quite a few. Some of these posters are quite rare, I've never seen that Without a Clue poster before, Sherlock and Me must have been the original title. Thanks again for commenting.
